The Yoda cake that Stephen wanted. It's not like Grandma Carrie's past birthday cakes for the kids but at least it was a little bit exciting and the party kids all clamored over having different pieces of Yoda.
Blowing out the candles at the birthday party with his friends.
And my favorite picture of Stephen lately....my baby is growing up. Now if only he wasn't so darn sassy!!Here's the highlights from the party weekend.
Stephen turned 7 on Thursday. We had a low-key celebration involving McDonald's drive-thru food and the five of us. Plus lots of legos and gi joes added to the mix! All of that added up to one happy newly turned seven year old. Saturday was the friend party. My three plus 5 other seven year olds. The kids played some party games had a pinata plus pizza, cake and ice cream. Fun stuff!
Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was cute to see Stephen's friends from school get together. It's only been six weeks but they all fit right back together as if they were still seeing each other all day long five days a week! The boys did boy stuff like play in the clubhouse and try to shoot the girls with guns. The girls were pretty "girlie" except for one little trouble maker who was the kid that you just can't wait for her mother to come back and pick up her child. Impolite little twerp! I couldn't run the festivities fast enough for her liking. If she was my child I would have strung her up and not brought her back down until she had a major attitude adjustment!! How rude.
Camping at KOA in two days. Since the kids are getting older it should be fairly relaxing this year. And I'll get to spend time holding Miranda. I'll gladly sit my butt in the lawn chair and hold the cutest baby around!!
